1. Tell us a little about yourself, your photography business and what you do! I have a Bachelor of Design in Graphic Design. I did a bit of film photography in my last year of University, but it wasn't until I got a job working for the University of Auckland as a public relations photographer that I started to learn the craft of photography. It was there that I learnt about manual settings, studio lighting, editing etc. I photographed hundreds of events and people for the University. I learned how to interact with people when taking their photo, and how to get great photo-journalist shots. I To View More >>

Looking through the design workshop yesterday I discovered a book I made nearly twenty years ago. It reminded me how grateful I am to one of my mentors, the bookbinder Michael O’Brien, a man of enormous talent, insight and good humour, and without a doubt the most eccentric person I’ve ever met. As I am sure you've seen, the Photojunction welcome screen got a bit of a makeover recently. I thought it might be worth a few minutes of your time to review it. The News tab has been added and if you are like many users, you might just quickly flip to the Recents tab and ignore it. But expect the content to change regularly, and take a minute every now and then to check out the links. The content will help you learn a bit about the websites and connecting with the Queensberry and Photojunction teams. Next, we have the Recent tab. Based on conversations with many Photojunction users, this is everyone's To View More >>

Yesterday we hosted our second intro to Queensberry's plug-in for Aperture 3 webinar. Danny and Stephen explained the history behind the project and demonstrated the plug-in, covering everything from downloading and installing the plug-in to ordering an album. If you missed the live presentation not to worry, we've just uploaded a recording to our Vimeo Channel. Or you can stick around and watch it right here. (To watch it in full screen and high definition click here.) Cheers, Nigel PS. Haven't heard about Queensberry's new plug-in for Aperture 3? It allows professional photographers To View More >>
